Remembrance of Anzac

Hey bloggers !!! Today I will be blogging about ANZAC. On Wednesday Last week on the 25 of April  it was Anzac Day. Anzac Day is really important because we have to remember those people who risked their lives for their country and their family because of them New Zealand is free. We like to show respect to the people and we put crosses with the people that was in the war. Here are some photos of the crosses that we have at our school. 

Thank you all the soldiers that risked their lives for us. Rest in peace soldiers !

Waikowhai senior Amazing Race !!!!!

Hey bloggers Today I will be blogging about what the seniors did last week on Friday. So last week on Friday in the first block the seniors played a game called "The Amazing Race"If you don't know what The Amazing Race is it is a physical knowledge of where everything is and what it is called. Easter holiday

Welcome back my fellow friends !!!!  Today I will tell you about what I did in the Easter holiday. How was your Easter holiday ?  What I really enjoyed during the holiday was when I got to go to my mums work ( Crave-cafe) on Tuesday and got to eat and play a lot. My mum's work mates are really nice so they always offer me a smoothie or  a Hot Chocolate or cool food like ice cream. 

What I learnt...

1) I learnt that The ice cream at the cafe was made by someone that works down stairs. 

 2) I also learnt that if you have a relative that works there you are very lucky because you can talk to the front and back staff. 

I really hope that all of you guys had a brilliant holiday.

Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Welcome to my second blog post of 2018, this week for reading we looked at the Waitangi Treaty. We used a Google doc with different questions from the Te Tiriti-o-Waitangi story. The question were  like who was the agreement between and where was the treaty made? today I thought that I would like to share it you. Do you know anything about the Treaty of Waitangi? Here it is

Reflection

I found this hard and Fun, I found it hard because we had to read a lot and remember a lot to be able to write it in my own words. I also found it fun because I got to work with a friend Abby.

FYI: I was going to add a video but me and Abby kept on mucking it up so we found it to hard to keep on trying.

Try and guess it ......

This week we are working on using descriptive language by sharing our writing straight onto our blog.  The challenge we have is to describe a place using only six sentences. After reading the description you need to guess the place that has been described. It would really help if you say what clues helped you come to this conclusion.

1. Beautiful sights where ever I look!

2. Wonderful sea animals to swim with!

3. Cool costumes to wear when dancing for special events!

4. Kids and adults playing together and swimming!

5. Fun for any age of people!

6. Big creature and small all around you!

Maths, Figure me out!

Sup peps! At the start of the year Manukau didn't know each other that well. So our teacher Mrs Simpson did a activity with us to help learn about each other. We had to fill in every box then we had to replace it with a maths question. Here is my work 

I thought this activity was really hard but fun. I found it hard because we had to think about complicated and cool maths questions. I also found it fun because at the end we showed some people and we got right and wrong answers. Thank you for reading my blog post. Welcome to 2018!!

Sup peps Welcome to my first blog post in 2018. This week we have been doing Cybersmart. We were learning about the Kawa of Care. We had to find a statement to try and make a DLO if you don't know what DLO means it means Digital learning object. We were aloud to go in a group of 3 or 4 I choose to go with Lavinia and Shiya. Here is the google drawing that we made!!

I found this google drawing fun and hard. I found it fun because I got to do it with friend 's and because we could do any thing about the statement we choose. I also found it hard because we all had different ideas to put in one google drawing.it would be good if you could do a positive or thoughtful comment. Blog you later!!
