Talofa lava Bloggers

About a couple of weeks before Waikowhai Primary School got to have a amazing show at our school called the NED show. The NED show is a show about how to a champion in school and in life. If you don't know NED mean Never give up
                                                                                              Encourage others
                                                                                     Do your best
The NED show is filled with funny voices to fantastic Yo-Yo tricks and even great messages in it.
Here are some photos

Near the end to see if we were listening he asked us what you have to do to be a champion in school and life. My friend Lavinia said" how to be a champion in life and schools to be NED."

Reflection
The NED show was really fun and cool. He also made it interesting but also managed to have a message in it. If I got a chance to see it again I would. There was also yo-yo for sale.

Interland

Aloha Bloggers

In Cybersmart  we have been doing a game called "Interland." Interland is a game about different things that you can do with your Chromebook that is safe or about being safe online. Like making sure what you send you have sent it to the right person. We had to make a DLO about what all the different places are.
Here is my DLO

Reflection

Interland is a very fun game but some of the places are hard. The hardest place for me was the Tower of Treasure because you had to make sure you don't bump into the rocks and you have to control and it goes faster every time. The DLO was really easy because all you needed to do was write what the message was and what you learn't.

Technology rotation !

Hey bloggers

For the last 3 weeks Te Waka Ako we have been doing a technology rotation. the technology rotation was split into classes In Manukau we did a circuit we had to use some tinfoil, Led, paper, pin, battery and tape. In Hauraki we made Geoboard's they used Wood, saws, nails and rubber bands. Last but not least In Waitemata we made had to make something that would hang of the edge of the table. You had to use a range of every day school material (can't remember what they were).
Here are some photos of the day

REFLECTION

I found the technology rotations fun and hard but the hardest one for me was Waitemata because we had to make sure it was hanging of the edge of the table but it had to be it had to be higher or the same height of the table. My group's work was not working so we were really struggling.

I think I will need some tools skill and also structure stabilising this term.

Improving comments

Aloha Bloggers! Today for cybersmart we have been improving our comments. We had to comment on a buddy's  blog. My buddy was Isra. Once we had finished we had to comment on a different school's blog. After the session we had to SMRF a drawing that was about how to improve a comment. First we had to insert our comment into the top rectangle then we had to check if we had done all the things that are used to get a good comment. Under that we had to write a better version of the comment that had all the thing's that are used to get a better comment.           Here is my work

What I changed

In my improved comment, I added some better words that would make the comment make more scene. I also changed what I normally say to some different words like instead of "see my blog" I did "check my blog" and instead of saying "I really liked" I write "I enjoyed."

Reflection

I found this work hard and easy I found it hard because I had to think of different words that would still make sense. The easy bit was that what we had to have in the comment was right there as well as the other comment.

Thank you for reading this post. It would be great if you left a helpful, thoughtful and positive comment. If you would like to do a next level comment the things that you need to do are in the colored boxes in the picture.

Emoji Emotions Word cloud

Ki ora bloggers !!

Today I'm blogging about my  Emotions word cloud. The  Emotions word cloud is a bunch of word put together in a shape with different colours. We had do a challenge that included emotions and the alphabet you might have guessed it we had to name as many emotions in alphabetical order.

Here is the emotion word cloud picture!

Why did we do this?
Well why we did this because when you are bullied you now exactingly what feeling you are instead of saying sad you could say depressed or angry you could say frustrated.

Reflection Well I found the word cloud hard because you had to use the alphabet (I didn't do every letter in the Alphabet) If you would like to do your own word cloud here is the link

School Art show prep

Good day fellow Bloggers

Today in Waikowhai Primary School we have been preparing for a big show
called the "Art Show". The Art show is something that we do every second Year.  Every class has to do some sort of Art based on something their teacher told them to do. We do these Art pieces in our own classes Manukau ( My class) is making fishes. We are making fishes because for inquiry we are looking at animals so we thought it would be good to base our Art on a animal. Hauraki has based their work on Birds, Waitemata has based their art on any animal.
Here are some photos of us doing art

HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE ART SHOW ON THE 26th OF JUNE TILL THE 29th OF JUNE !!!!!

The first time Mr Riceman told us about the art I thought it was going to be easy so me and my friend Brooklyn thought that we would finish it fast. When we started it was so hard!!
To make our Art look cooler we decided to use pastels to colour and collage.

TiriTiri Matangi Trip

Hello bloggers

On Thursday 7.50 Waikowhai Primary Senior's got to have a special trip. The special trip was to TiriTiri Matangi. TiriTiri Matangi  is a island with no pests at all. We went to TiriTiri Matangi because we were looking at endangered animals and what we could take back form the island like how to keep the pest's away and how to keep our land clean. To get there we went for about a 20 minute ride in the bus and a 1 1/2  hour ride to in the ferry  to the island and back. So all together it was a the ride was 3 hours and 40 minutes ride.
We had a Guide taught as about this island and names of the different birds.
Here are some photos of the day!

I really enjoyed the trip because I got to see a lot of different birds and it was good fitness. If I got the chance to go to TiriTiri Matangi again I would deferentially want to go with friends and family.
