Wheels Day

Aloha, Everyone today I will be writing a blog post about Monday's fun wheels day. Wheels day was a day with no work just fun. Every year we do a wheel's day for fun. Last year when I was here we did the same thing but it was called wacky wheel's day. Every body really enjoyed playing and doing the activities.

The first thing the seniors did was going in the pool, slip and slide and relaxing. Mr Ross was my groups teacher. Our group went in the pool first. it was really fun because the water was really refreshing and fun. Next we went on the slip and slide I was really cold because we had to wait for our turn on the slip and slide and the wind was kind of strong. after that it was time to relax sadly we had to get changed.

I really liked the wheel's day and if we were allowed to do it again I would do it again. Thank you for reading the post. if you would like to you can leave a helpful, thoughtful and positive. If you would like to see some photo's of the day here is a slide show under.

2017 Netball prize giving

 Hello blogging world

This year in Term Three the netball players had a prize giving which was only Waikowhai Primary  Netball team because it was our achievement from the season. The prize giving were for the people that was in the Netball team and the people that payed in the Netball zones. It started at  6 o'clock and ended at 6.30. When I went into the hall it had tables with lot's of food and there was cool back ground music. Almost every Netball player was there.
I really liked playing the Netball team especially when our team got the ball. And the Netball team couldn't have done it with our the wounder-full Mrs Jones and the one and only Mr Ross.

I really liked doing Netball Because last time I did it I was to short and I didn't really know about Netball. Mr Ross really helped me to do netball. If I was allowed to Netball next year i would diffidently do it again.

Celebration day slide show !!!!!!!!

Hello Bloggers, Today I will show you about the celebration day Thinking hats. The slide show has my thoughts and information from the day. Each hat was a different meaning, The black hat was negative, Yellow hat meant positive. Enjoy the slide show.

I really enjoyed doing the slide. I found the black hat hard because there was hardly anything bad. The slide was easy and hard it was hard because you have to write lot's and I found it easy because there were lots of thing that I like doing at the celebration day and there it was pretty easy to explain what happened.

Preparation For The Gala Day !

Aloha everyone today I am talking about what Manukau is doing for our Gala day. This term Waikowhai Primary is working very hard to make thing's for the Gala day. Manukau is making recycled paper. It would be great if you came along to our Gala Day on the 25th of November. Starts at 10:am to 3:00pm. We are making sure that what we are making is good for the environment. Our paper is going to cut and made into Christmas cards and seed bomb's to sell. After the steps there will be a slide show click on the link and

What you need :
Ripped paper, water, hand mixer, bucket, photo frame, Window screen, bag,

Step one:  Get a lot of news paper and slowly rip them into little pieces and place them into a big bag.Keep on ripping it until you think it's enough paper

Step two:  Now you have all your bags with the paper in it. Grab a large bucket and a hand mixer. With the bucket pour water in it and make sure the water has filled the bucket half way. Now pour the paper into the bucket with water. With the hand mixer mix the paper and water together until it's not hard.

Step three:  Grab the Window screen and make sure the paper is on the window screen drain the water and the place the wet paper on a little towel. When it's dry it's ready!

Reflection
I think it was hard to make the paper because you have to make sure you got enough paper on it or else it will rip. It was also fun to make paper because it is a new thing for me. Feel free to comment and check out the rest of my learning below

My Journey Across NZ (maths)

Hi Bloggers! Today I am blogging on my journey across New Zealand. Don't worry its not a real journey.  We had to do this for maths because you had to add and multiply the equations.  We had to do a slide show with 40 slides. Here is the cover and a picture of a slide.

I found the slide show really easy especially this page ➡ ➡➡➡➡.  I think the slide is good for people's maths because you have to be really smart to do this. Overall I really like doing the slide show.  It was challenging but I like challenging things.

The magical world of crazy science with Richard and Robyn!

 Tenakoto bloggers!

Today in the morning the whole school went to the hall to see a Magical science show. Well I would say a crazy science show.  It was really crazy and magical. Richard was the scientist and Robyn was the computer lady. I learnt lots of different facts. All the facts I learnt I never knew before. One fact was that lots of plastic's are made from polymers. A polymer is a type of powder! When I first went in it looked like it was going to be just a normal science show. But as soon as The show started I knew it was going to be real fun. My favourite part was when he made big and little bubbles.

                                               Reflection!

I really enjoyed watching all the different cool tricks Richard did. There was some dangerous parts like when he used fire around the juniors. I really want that show to happen again. I  Over all the crazy science show the best show this year and the craziest. I like learning new facts. I wonder how you make a really big bubble? and how do you make the ping pong ball balance in the air with the hairdryer? I think I will try and do some of the experiments.

Orienteering!!

Hi bloggers of the world, last term some of the Year 5's and 6's went to Orienteering. We went to Block House Bay Park to participate in the competition. while we were waiting we had a quick play on the Park and fitness trail. Most of us were really scared. Soon it was time to line up to find the marks we had a map to read. It had no words so it was like finding gold. We had to fill in a piece of paper for the run.

I liked doing the orienteering because using a map was a real challenge. But with the map you had to turn it around lots. Over all I think I would like to do it again.

Here are some photos of the orienteering people!!!

I have learnt that orienteering is good for your brain, because when you look at the map you have to find out where you are and where you going to.

A big thanks to  super Mrs Sands for organizing orienteering and for letting us have a chance to try.

writing with creativity week 9

This term the seniors have started creative writing. We have made a google slide to show how creatively we can write. We do it every school day. This creative writing is to help us think and write more. Our teacher makes the start of the story and we write the rest.

I think creative writing is fun and helpful because you can make it up if you want and you have to think about the story and there is a story starter.

In this slide show is my favourite writing from this week because, on Tuesday, we made a tongue twister.

My character discription

                                         Hello blogging world
Last week Room 8 had to do a character description we went on a website called build your wild-self. We had to try and be creative about our character. We had to write a y chart in the y chart we had to write things about their actions looks and personal traits.  Below this text is my y chart.

I think I did really well at creating my character. I still found it hard to use descriptive words but over all I think it was fun and easy.

Eagle high girl

Eagle high girl is a combination of six things. She has long brown and white eagle wings. Two pointy sharp horn’s curve on the sides of her head. Jiggly jellyfish tentacles that are light blue hang on the bottom half of her body. There appears to be a colourful beak that sticks out of her face. She has human arms and hair. She has a  swishing long black horse tail that pops out from her back.

With her light blue jellyfish tentacles she can sting people like criminals. Her short normal arms help her to grab things more easily. With her swishing long black tail she sometimes hits things or smashes things on the ground but can whip people. The long brown and white wings help her fly high and find criminals all over the world. With her sharp horns she can strike criminals at incredible speed  .

Normally she is serious when she is fighting criminals and practising to fight but she sometimes can be goofy and cheeky. Most of the time she is Happy when flying and confident to try new things. She does laugh at jokes but she thinks that she’s better at making other people laugh.

Building a tent model !!

Yesterday for maths, Te Waka Ako had a task to create a small tent model out of some tooth picks and one stick of modelling clay. We were allowed use any shape and any sizes to create it. I used two cubes for my tent.

During the  making of the tent I had some problems. One of them was that my model kept on falling because the wind was strong and the modelling clay wouldn't hold the pieces together really well.
This is my work!

I found it hard because it was not really stable or strong which made me really frustrated. I still had lots of fun! I found out that  you needed good concentration / focus and lots of patience. I think I did really well. I would really like it if you could give me a helpful and positive comment.

                                                          Hello blog commentators.
Last week for reading my group had to make a Compare and Contrast map. We had to Compare and Contrast two different stories. Here is my work.

I found it hard because we had to write things different about each story and the similarities.

Next time I would work on my under standing about different stories. To achieve that I will have to read over the stories or the part I don't under stand.

Thank you for looking at my blog post if you would like to see more of my work just scroll down. Blog you later!!!!!

Today in reading cross over we read an articular about the latest rocket that was launched it was an arterial called Rocket lad soars into space.  We had to make make a info-graphic about it. Look below to see my work.

I found it hard because we had to write the facts in our own words and we had to have symbols. Apart from that it was easier. I hoped you liked my work if you want to please leave a positive comment.

Who's looking a my blog ?

Today in cybersmart we made a drawing about who can look at my blog. We had a choice of six people who we think should look at my blog. Under this text is my drawing.

It was easy because we only had to think of six things. We had to look and find class sites. I knew how to screen shot so it was easy. Thank's for reading and feel free to comment. Keep on checking for an update. Blog you later!
